During Thankstaking salesweek, when there were obscene numbers of games on the front page, I noticed a significant, say 10-30 second lag whenever i attempted to sort or use the search bar to filter the sales. Just wondering if this was an acknowleged bother - there's that ever so small possibility I just could have had some weird client error. It would be nice to throw some of the overhead back on the server to make sorting usable during those high maintenance periods... or maybe just tweaking the algorithm will have some effect? ...anyone else getting this lag?
Thinking about the search bar brings up a second thing... if I just wanted to filter the frontpage for a game I was looking for, i'd Ctrl+F it. The old search bar functionality - finding and bringing up a page with price history and current price data for a game was nice. Now the bar is ... extraneous. (and with that lag less efficient than using browser built in find >.>)
I bet the site revamp is a busy job, so I'm not going to whine, but hey, if you decide to tinker with either of these annoyances, I'll be a happy man.

Agreed. Even today the searching seems alot slower, and I can't find where the discussions on individual games are, or has that not been added back yet.
Ditto on the site updates, thanks cg.
